Matt and Lauren (round two)

8.08.2011
As I mentioned, Matt and Lauren got married on Saturday!  Matt is one of Jordan's really good friends, they have known each other for a very long time; it goes back to Elementary School.  During the Fall of 2009, around the same time I met Jordan, I met Matt and also beautiful Lauren.  We were all in the same ward (if you can't already tell, this was a seriously award winning singles ward, many of our friends and roommates met their spouses).

We had a great day on Saturday.  The Manti Temple is beautiful!  We unfortunately didn't have time to go through a session while we were there, but now I know that the drive isn't too bad, I really want to take another trip down there.  BUT...besides the beautiful temple, Matt and Lauren both looked great!  Lauren's dress was amazing.  Everything about her that day looked gorgeous.

Everything about their reception was beautiful too.  Lauren wanted a vintage reception and I think everything came together really well.  I loved it!

My little project for the wedding was this picture hanging from the tree.  Matt and Lauren took some of their engagement pictures at this park and love this big tree.  Lauren said that they wanted to find something to hang from this tree branch and this is what we came up with.  I found this huge frame in the carport at our house.  Dorethy told me to throw it away, but I told her that I liked it and wanted to keep it.  It came in so handy for this occasion!  I sanded it and repainted it and made some matting from old books to match the vintage theme.  I LOVE how it turned out.  And Jordan and his buddies were champs at getting it hung up on that 12+ ft tall branch.

It was a wonderful day.  I'm so glad that we were able to be there to support them on their special day!  Congratulations Matt and Lauren!
