Mosaic

1.10.2012
My first assignment in my graphic design class was to make a mosaic.  We had just had our lesson about color theory, so I wanted to choose a really colorful picture to mimic.  I went straight to my hot air balloon pictures.

I stared by printing the picture.  Then, I went to Lowes with my picture in hand and found paint chips that were the best match, I took home quite a few.  Back at home, I took some scissors and cut my paint chips into little squares and glued them directly onto my picture, section by section.  This was a great choice.  It made the process go so much faster than it would have otherwise.  I love how it turned out, and I thought it was really fun to make.

  1. I love this idea! I know it was for your class, but it would be so cute to hang up in a house. I think I might try something similar!
