Jordan discovered this article in the Salt Lake Tribune the other day, which names the top 10 small-town Drive-Ins in Utah. We decided that we want to go to all of them. We hopped in the car on Friday to go to our first one, which included our first ever trip to Tooele, to go to Dairy Delight. Dairy Delight is famous for their Old Fashioned Burger and their malts, so that's exactly what we got.
I'm not sure if you can really tell from these pictures, but that burger was HUGE. It was about the size of a plate. Please notice that it takes up about half of that tray. We had to cut it in 4s to eat it. It was so yummy. And we did successfully eat the whole thing (it wasn't too hard).
We got a chocolate chip cookie dough malt, and it was tasty. Another thing that I thought was fun about this drive-in, is that they have decks of cards laying around for you to play with while you wait for your food. Also, we noticed that there was a surprising amount of old people at this place, so we concluded that the Old Fashioned Burger and a malt must be the secret for a long life. Thanks for a great time and some good food Dairy Delight!
We want to try to go to all 10 of the Drive-Ins this Summer, so stay tuned for more Drive-In adventures!
