Redbox Review

Here are my thoughts about the last 10 Redbox movies we've seen:

10. A Thousand Words
I didn't like this movie. There isn't very much to say about it other than that. It was one of those movies where I just kept waiting for it to end. I would not recommend. Unless perhaps you only have a limited number of hours to live and you want the time to seem longer than it really is...

9. The Vow
I had high hopes for this movie, but I was unfortunately let down. It was a very average movie, almost frustrating, if I remember correctly.

8. One for the Money
This one was much more entertaining that the last two, but still not one of the really great movies on this list.

7. The Muppets
It was cute, no complaints, it just happened to sit at #7 on this list. Plus, I'm a fan of Amy Adams, we went to the same High School.

6. The Decoy Bride
I thought this was a fun cute little story. A bit cheesy, but still very enjoyable. It was one of those gems that is only rated PG and still actually has substance and isn't a kid movie.

5. The Avengers
This movie was pretty exciting, and action packed. I was sewing during this movie so that could have contributed to the likability factor, but I am a Robert Downey Jr. fan, so that also could have been why I liked it.

4. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Great movie. Jordan thought it was just average, but I enjoyed it. It was one of those movies that reminds you that you can't have it all in life. There was also a good pick-me-up message: It will all work out in the end, if it hasn't worked out, it isn't the end.

3. Man on a Ledge
Again, another great movie. I really liked this one. It was fun to watch and try to figure out what was going on as the plot unfolded.

2. The Artist
I liked this one. It was cute and playful and an overall enjoyable film with a great story.

And the number one movie, this time around, is....

1. Hugo
I loved this one. I was really wrapped up in the story. It was clean, with a fun plot. Jordan would also probably remind me that it took place in Paris, and I love Paris. I love the idea of living somewhere very public, privately, and to explore and know all of the secrets of a big train station. And clocks! I love clocks.

Have you seen any of these movies? Did you agree with my review? Did you like or dislike the same movies as me?

  1. I loved Hugo. Such a great movie. The Artist is on my to watch list. The fang cute!

    Happy Weekend!!

  2. I LOVE HUGO. I can't stand Channing Tatum, so I avoided The Vow. I would definitely describe his movies as frustrating, haha. And I thought the Muppets was entertaining enough for adults and enjoyable for children, so that's always a plus, right?

  3. We liked Man on a Ledge a lot! We also loved The Artist - so different, but so great :)
