Fun Finds

7.30.2012

Is any one else obsessed with watching the Olympics right now? I definitely am, cheering on TEAM USA!

I stumbled upon this the other day and thought it was hilarious.
Have you seen this? It's one pretty fun mistake...
Need some help deciding what to wear today? Click here. Pretty clever.
I think I need one of these and one of these.
Lastly, did you hear about this?

Happy Monday!

Baby Phoebe [Round 2]

7.28.2012
This cute baby just keeps growing and getting cuter everyday. Jessica wanted to do some sleepy baby pictures, so we pulled out some bows, hats, and blankets and waited for Baby Phoebe to fall asleep.  Then the magic started happening! I think we got some really good shots.

Finished!

7.27.2012
Well folks, remember this? I've been working on it forever and it's finally finished! Seriously though, I think I started it about a year ago. I just put the binding on this morning and I'm glad to say that it's totally done. I love how it turned out, mostly because I love all of the pretty colors. Take a look at my latest project:

There's just something about making pretty things that provides me with so much satisfaction. Is there anyone else out there who feels the same way as me?

Silver Lake

7.24.2012
Jordan and I woke up early this morning and headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon to go to Silver Lake. Jordan wanted to do a little bit of fishing. It was a quick trip and a great start to a little holiday. Jordan is headed to Seattle this afternoon for a job interview, say a little prayer for him that he will do well.  Do you have any fun plans for today? Happy Pioneer Day!

Drive-Ins: Reed's Drive-In | Nephi, Utah

7.23.2012

On our way to Manti on Saturday, we stopped and had lunch in Nephi, so we could go to Reed's Drive-In, which is another diner on the list of the Top 10 Small-town Drive-in's in Utah. That article from the Salt Lake Trib said that the patty melt with mushrooms was really good, and we usually try to get what they recommend, but since neither of us are big mushroom fans we decided not to get it, and instead got a Super Bacon Burger.  It was definitely a good choice. This time we got some tater tots instead of the usual, fries. Matt and Lauren, who joined us for lunch, were a bit more adventurous, and got half English Chips and half fries and I have to say that the English Chips were really tasty. We also got a boysenberry shake, which was really yummy and came with the worlds largest straw.

It was a fun little stop on our trip. I would definitely recommend to anyone passing through Nephi. Stop by and grab some food.

Other diners we've visited:
Milt's Stop & Eat | Moab, UT
Burger Bar | Roy, UT
Uinta Drive In | Kamas, UT
Big Moe's | Price, UT
Dairy Delight | Tooele, UT

4 diners (on the list) to go!

Manti Temple

7.22.2012

Yesterday we hopped in the car and drove down to the beautiful Manti Temple with Matt and Lauren. This was technically the second time I had been there, the first being August 6th last year for Matt and Lauren's wedding. Yesterday we were able to do a session, and to spend a little bit more time enjoying the beauty of this building. I have been to quite a few temples, and all of them are special and beautiful but I think this one might be my favorite so far. I really loved everything about it.  I wish it was closer, but I guess that's part of why it is special, because I can't go there all the time.

Nick and Dayana

7.18.2012
I shot another wedding with Travis Richardson last week at Louland Falls, up Parley's Canyon. It was a very pretty little venue. During the time I spent with Nick and Dayana, I leaned that Dayana is very talented: she made her beautiful wedding dress and she drew the tree in their fingerprint sign-in picture. I also learned that they met in Middle School, basically soul mates, if you ask me. They wrote and read their own vows, which were beautiful. Congrats Nick and Dayana!
