BEGIN New Year | Corina's Corner

New Year

I have always really liked everything about this tradition, so last night we got some Chinese take-out, and quickly wrote down some of our favorite things about last year and a few of our goals for this new year. We also celebrated by drinking Martinelli's, eating copious amounts of popcorn and carmel, all while watching World War Z. Reagan went to bed at about 9:00, we watched the ball drop on a live Times Square Webcam (P.S. Miley and Melissa Etheridge? Someone really dropped the ball [punny?] on this one....), and then we played some Qwirkle. On to 2014! Happy New Year!

  1. What a fun idea! I love this :)

  2. These are awesome! I'm dying to see Saving Mr Banks, glad you liked it :) Also, I don't know if you had any kind of debate between crocheting and knitting, but I've actually found crocheting to be a LOT faster and I think it's a little more versatile and easier to learn how to make different things. But those are just my thoughts! Knitting is fun too and easier to do without looking, like while watching tv :)

  3. Thanks for the link, Corina! I have to say, Chinese food really does hit the spot after all the ham/turkey/roast overkill of holiday eating :)

  4. Torrie - Thanks! It is simple enough to actually be a really fun tradition. Just my kind of thing!

Claire - I choose knitting because my grandma knit all of our stockings and I want to learn how to make them the exact way she does, so I can keep up the tradition with my own family.

Rachel - Chinese really does hit the spot! It is such a great change of pace.
