Suddenly there's baby stuff around every corner, and I couldn't be happier about it. The past few weeks have been so fun pulling out all of the baby stuff that has been tucked in bins under the stairs. I especially love having that little bassinet back in our bedroom. Having a perfect little baby in the house is probably as close to Heaven as it gets!
^^Does it get any more precious than that? Those tiny fingers and toes! I die! I know Reagan was teeny tiny once, but technically she was never this small, since Naomi was a pound and a half smaller than Reagan at birth. I am thoroughly enjoying every little cuddle.
^^I called my mom at about 2:00 the day that Naomi was born and told her to get in the car and head to Utah. I wanted her to be there when Naomi was born like she was when Reagan was born. She, my dad, and brothers all hopped in the car right away. Naomi was born at 11:27 and my mom walked in the hospital room at 11:34. Pretty great timing if you ask me! The few days after she was born they took care of Reagan while I recovered in the hospital, all the while cleaning my house and getting everything ready for the baby to come home. They also did sweet things like make this cute sign that is still on our front door. I don't want to take it down! It was SO wonderful to walk into a clean house when we brought Naomi home.
P.S. from that picture above I think you can tell that my brothers pretty much hate being uncles.
^^Between having a baby and Mother's Day, our house has turned into a miniature flower store, and I couldn't be more happy about it. I love all of the flowers.
^^And speaking of Mother's Day, I had a great one. Naomi joined our family just in time to be the perfect Mother's Day gift. It's pretty fun that Reagan joined our family just in time for Father's Day and Naomi joined our family just in time for Mother's Day.
On Mother's Day, Jordan, my dad, and my brothers made us a delicious breakfast with German pancakes, hashbrowns, cinnamon rolls, smoothies, the works! It was so tasty. In fact we ate great food all day long. Jordan made some awesome pulled pork sandwiches for lunch, and then we all went to Jordan's parent's house for dinner and had yummy enchiladas to celebrate Landan's birthday (which is the day after Naomi was born).
^^Last Monday Jordan's mom helped me plant my pots. She always has the most beautiful flowers at her house and I'm so glad that she has helped me have beautiful flowers too. They make me so happy every time I see them.
^^And of course we can't forget about Miss Reagan Jane. Everyone has been asking how she has been adjusting to having a baby sister, or what she thinks about Naomi. The first few days were a bit rocky. She kind of stopped eating, but then on Saturday night she threw up like 6 times in the car while we were driving home. So we're pretty sure that's why she wasn't eating, because she didn't feel good.
The first few days Naomi was home, and occasionally still, when Reagan would see Naomi, she would act so surprised that she was still here. Like, "Oh!! Babbbbyyyyy! Baby Sister!" Or she would be really mad/jealous that Naomi is allowed to have a binky and she isn't. That's been a hard one for her. And of course, I wish Reagan would be a little bit softer/gentler with Naomi, and we're working on it, but overall she's been really cute with her. She LOVES giving her kisses on the head, and looking at her tiny fingers and toes.
We're slowly adjusting to the new size of our small tribe. It's crazy to me that I have two children. TWO! Yikes. It makes me feel old. I know it's going to be an adjustment and I hope we get the hang of things sooner rather than later. So here we go! Wish us luck!
