Last night was our much anticipated trip to the circus. There is definitely a reason why they call it "The Greatest Show on Earth". We started the night out at the pre-show, where you could get up close to the animals and clowns, as well as try on some of their costumes. We even saw an elephant painting! Reagan loved the lights and the music and kept talking about "Mommy Dumbo" (all elephants are Dumbo and apparently Dumbo's mom was even there!) and the tigers. She was definitely a fan. My favorite part was either the elephants (they were quite impressive) or the trampolinists.
When I heard that the circus was going to be at EnergySolutions Arena I was a little bit worried that Reagan wouldn't be able to see anything, or appreciate what was going on. I was worried that it was going to feel like a crowded basketball game. Boy was I wrong! It felt so intimate. Another one of my favorite parts was these bracelets they gave to everyone in the audience that lit up in unison and flashed various colors at very opportune moments during the show. It made me feel like I was a part of all of the action. It was incredible.
The circus is in town all weekend. If you have a chance you should definitely check it out. And don't forget the special offer on tickets: Use Smith’s Tix Code: MOM for $5 off one of these performances: Friday 3:30pm & 7:00pm, Saturday 11:30am, Sunday 4:30pm, or Monday 7:00pm.
