The man behind the blog...

9.17.2015

This is Jordan. I know you've probably seen him a lot around theses parts, but I thought I'd tell you a little bit more about him.

Jordan is dang smart. He is an amazing problem solver, from large manufacturing issues at work to small sudoku games, he can think of a solution to any problem. Jordan wins 90% of the games we play, because he is so good at strategizing. He loves learning new things, and is always talking about something he read or heard in a podcast. (He listens to a LOT of podcasts.) He is a super hard worker, and can really power through to get things done. He is very "go with the flow," and really supportive. (He ran 2 half-marathons with me, just because I wanted to.)

Jordan is a fully invested husband and father. He is an awesome dad who really loves his babies. He is really great at taking over baby duty after I've just about had it for the day and am ready to call it quits. He is great in the kitchen and I'll be the first to admit that he cooks more than half of the meals in this house. He loves going to new restaurants, or trying something new. I love that he will go on adventures with me, or when I say I want to do something fun, he will do some research and find the perfect thing.

Jordan is super thoughtful. He really knows me and what I like. He is often saying, "Hey check this out, I know you'll love it," and because of this, he gives very, very thoughtful gifts (I struggle at giving good gifts, so I know this is truly a talent/skill that he has). One of the very first things that I noticed about Jordan was how genuinely kind he was to everyone. I immediately loved that kindness and the fact that he's so good at giving people the benefit of the doubt. (Again, another place where I lack.)

He is happiest when he is outside. He loves hiking, fishing, camping, biking, picnicing...etc. and is always encouraging us to spend time outside. Not only has he ran the 2 half marathons I previously mentioned but he has also completed 2 century rides (100 mile bike races) and is an awesome cyclist.

If you asked me, I'd probably tell you that he's practically perfect in every way. And on this day, I'd also like to say happy 29th birthday to my best friend, closest ally, biggest supporter, husband, lover, and the handsomest guy I know. Happy birthday Jord! I sure love you!
