Out of this World

Last night we went to the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus. This year their show is called Out of this World and features a number of "space" acts. Reagan had been talking about it all week and was so excited for it to finally be time. It was very different from last year, one big difference being that it was on ice! But of course that didn't stop them from still performing all of their exciting classic circus acts. Reagan's favorite part was [SPOILER] when the bad queen became nice and they all shared the magic telescope. Jordan liked the motorcycles and the dogs, I enjoyed the trapezes and tigers and Naomi liked the popcorn. My mom and dad, and Dylan and Bailey were able to come with us too, which made it all the more fun.

^^At one point there were 7 motorcycles all driving around that tiny sphere at the same time. IT.WAS.RIDICULOUS.

^^Grainy photo but it had to be documented that Naomi fell asleep on me about 30 minutes before it ended. I love when my babies sleep on me!^^

There are 5 more shows in Salt Lake: Saturday, September 24 at 3:00 PM and again at 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 25 at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and Monday, September 26 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are very reasonably priced and start at just $10 for kids. And don't forget this year there will be a “Dad’s Day” discount for fathers who want to take their children to the show during Women’s Session of General Conference. This discount code is DADS.

Go Cougs!

Part of Jordan's birthday celebrations included going to the BYU v. UCLA football game. The Cougs are historically not very nice to Jordan on his birthday, and we knew this was going to be a rough game. The stinkin' Cougs couldn't swing any kind of good offensive plays and that was pretty frustrating but it was still fun to be there (even if we didn't get home until 1:38am!). Love that school, love being in Provo, and I do still love those Cougars even if they have some major things to work on.

^^The moon looked so cool coming over the mountain....and then it finally made it all the way over ...

Big thanks to my parents for the tickets and especially to my mom for watching the girls for us!

30 Favorite Memories

Jordan turned 30 on Saturday! Part of his birthday present included this little surprise on Friday afternoon. We got 30 balloons and attached a picture (with a message on the back) to each one. The girls were pretty excited about all of the balloons and loved identifying who was in the pictures. It was really fun to think back on all of my memories with Jordan and pick my 30 favorites. Jordan loved reading and thinking about lots of memories from years past. This present was a raving success! After all of the balloons pop or the girls get tired of them (which ever comes first) I want to take all of the pictures and put them in a book.

We also had a little party on Friday night with lots of Jordan's favorite foods and ended the night in true Sorensen fashion with a movie together on the couch after the girls went to bed. Jordan is an amazing person and let's be honest, he's just getting better with age! Happy 30s Jord!

Fort Collins Temple Open House

Over Labor Day weekend we had the chance to go to the Fort Collins Temple Open House. Saturday afternoon we drove the 2 hours down to Fort Collins from Scottsbluff just to see the temple. I love taking Reagan to temple open houses (Provo City Center and Ogden) since she isn't old enough to go inside the temples after they are dedicated. It was a beautiful temple, as they all are. After the temple open house, at the request of Dylan, we had dinner at Cheba Hut (which was ironic to visit right after the temple but still very tasty). You're not allowed to take pictures inside the temple but if you're curious about what it looks like here are some great pictures of the interior.

^^My stinkin' popular brothers kept seeing people they know.

^^This picture really reminds me of the artistic rendering they always make of the temples before they build them for some reason.

Labor Day | Scottsbluff, Nebraska

We went to luxurious Scottsbluff, Nebraska for Labor Day Weekend. My Aunt recently moved there and we wanted to go visit her, see her new house as well as visit the Fort Collins Temple open house. While we were there we visited the Bluff and Museum, ate some delicious Mexican food, played some HILARIOUS games (seriously, cheeks hurting, belly laughs), and spent some quality time with family. Scottsbluff was a really cute little town. My Aunt's house is in a really cool neighborhood. All of the houses are old and perfectly charming. Besides how AWFUL the girls were on the drives it was a great little weekend.

^^I had to take a picture of this because my dad found one of those nails while we were on a Trek at Martin's Cove. He likes to tell people it's from Brigham Young's handcart. Now we know it is probably from Brigham Young's Oxshoe.

^^Isn't this the cutest house?

^^And of course we got to see Tate. He's getting so big! Him and Reagan played so well, which was awesome!
