Best of 2018

We had a year of ups and downs and a few big bangs. Writing these blog posts always makes me so thankful for all of the fun times, experiences, and places we are able to go as a family in just one year. This year was no exception, we were busy! We started the year off with a trip to Maui! It was glorious and the girls REALLY loved all of the swimming and shave ice. It was especially great to spend time with Dylan because the day after we got home he left on his mission.

In February we celebrated Valentine's Day, took a trip to Denver for Dennis and April's wedding reception and also I became an aunt! And the girls got their first cousin! We welcomed Baby Cameron into the family. In February I also threw a Superhero themed Blue and Gold Banquet for the Cub Scouts.

March was full of playing with toys, blocks, painting, and a trip to Idaho. A leprechaun visited our house on St. Patrick's Day and the Pinewood Derby took over my life for a few weeks.

In April we celebrated Easter, spent Reagan's Spring Break in St. George, I wrote a little family update, and couldn't stay away from the Cherry Blossoms at the Utah State Capitol.

Naomi turned 3 in May and we celebrated with a really fun Cinco de Mayo party in our backyard. We visited the Tulip Festival and the girls had a great time jumping in puddles in their rain boots. Logan got his mission call to Saltillo Mexico! I found out I was pregnant, and I took a fun Memorial Day getaway to New York City.

In June the only thing I blogged about was Reagan's Princess Splash Pad birthday party. She became our beautiful 5 year old! My blogging slowed down due to lots of pregnancy nausea.

At the beginning of July we took a big family trip to San Felipe, Mexico and San Diego. We also took a trip to Colorado where Jordan rode in a 120 mile bike race! (And we came home to a flooded basement :( ) We also found out we were having a BOY! On July 20th Jordan's grandpa passed away and we headed to Boise a week later to celebrate his life and attend his funeral.

Nestled between a few other trips the girls and I went to Colorado for the weekend in Early August for Jackson's farewell. We took our annual trip to Alturas, where Reagan jumped in the lake approximately 3,000 times. Jordan and I snuck away for a Babymoon Cruise to the Bahamas while the girls traveled to Orlando with my Mom and Logan. After our cruise we all spent a really fun, extremely sweaty day at Disney World. When we got home from Florida Reagan started Kindergarten!

In September we celebrated my grandma's 80th birthday, Logan gave his farewell talk, joined us in visiting the Utah State Fair and left on his mission. We also celebrated Jordan's 32nd birthday and took a Sorensen family trip to Bryce Canyon.

We celebrated Halloween in October with Trunk or Treating and Trick or Treating as well as pumpkin carving and a family Halloween dinner. We also had fun eating tinfoil dinners up the canyon two Sundays in October.

In November my great friend, Amy Jo, threw me the cutest baby shower complete with a donut pegboard and me and baby were sufficiently showered with gifts and love! Reagan continued to learn and work hard in school and on her homework everyday. She also worked really hard to earn the Sleeping Beauty Lego Castle by doing chores around the house. She also lost her first tooth! We spent a great Thanksgiving in Utah this year and had a delicious dinner prepared by Martha.

December was great. We did a lot of Family Advent things and snowy things and Christmas things. Naomi had a ballet recital and Reagan had a school Christmas performance. We had a wonderful Christmas and the best part of the whole year happened 4 days before the end of the year and that was the birth of our sweet baby boy Jonah Jordan. We love him to pieces and are so happy to finally have him in our family!
